The Little Feathers organization from Salt Lake City recently invited me to talk to them about the Native American health insurance plans offered. We had a great turn out and it was fun to see some of my clients there. I wanted to thank them again for having me and repeat the information that was given there. To qualify you have to be able to provide proof of your Native American status with either a CIB or a tribal membership card. The plans are currently offered through Select Health, University of Utah Health, Cigna and Molina. You can go to any provider within their network and receive great healthcare. There is typically a $0 deductible, $0 Maximum out of pocket and $0 copays. Below is a picture of what some of the healthcare costs would be on a Native American health plan.
